Code of Conduct
At Riverdale all students are expected to learn and promote the following values:
- Respect
- Honesty
- Fairness
- Courtesy
- Consideration
- Rational Thinking
- Self Confidence
- Dignity
- Politeness
Everyone in the school has six basic rights:
- To feel safe and comfortable
- To be treated with respect
- To learn and teach without interruption
- To communicate and be listened to
- To use, share and care for the school facilities and equipment
- To be valued for their achievements.
The school has agreed upon a definition of RESPECT:
- Making sure we treat other people in a way that we ourselves would find acceptable
- Showing acceptance and tolerance
- Listening to and caring about others
- Thinking carefully about how we talk to other people, about our tone of voice and body language
